Apprise Software of Bethlehem Township, which makes software used to manage warehouses and other aspects of the distribution industry, on Thursday announced it has opened its first office in Europe.
The company opened a new office in Brno, the Czech Republic, which will allow it to better serve its global customers operating in Europe.
The company in 2007 relocated its headquarters from Bridgewater, N.J. to Emrick Boulevard in Bethlehem Township, bringing 75 jobs to the Lehigh Valley. The company recruits heavily from Lehigh University and other area colleges, which prompted the move.
Computer programmers make up a large part of its workforce.
“Consumer goods companies in North America, Asia, Europe and Australia have been relying on Apprise to meet their enterprise-wide supply chain needs for years,” Apprise president Jeff Broadhurst said. “Our new Brno office will make it easier to support multi-national companies doing business in Europe through our award-winning enterprise application.”
Apprise plans to hire 100 employees for the new location. The company also has offices in Nanjing, China and Melbourne, Australia.
