Deutsche Telekom AG (DTE) will work with Mozilla Corp. on the U.S. software developer’s new Boot to Gecko mobile phone software, Financial Times Deutschland reported, citing unidentified people informed about the project.
Initial functions of the system will be introduced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, the newspaper said. It quoted an unidentified Deutsche Telekom spokesman as saying the German company and Mozilla have been working on a research project for some time.
The spokesman declined to say what the results of the research were, the newspaper said.
