IBM has launched a wealth of advanced software offerings for a variety of infrastructure environments, including energy management and smart buildings.
The new software provides analytical and monitoring capabilities designed to help business operations in a variety of sectors get smarter in dealing with the massive amounts of data streaming in.
And for the energy industry, that specifically means smarter ways to deal with the avalanche of data coming in from sources like smart grid networks and sensors, and managing building efficiency.
IBM’s new software solutions include monitoring and management capabilities for managing smart meters in electricity, water and gas utilities, as well as smarter buildings software for maximizing energy and equipment efficiency in buildings.
The smarter buildings software is available to customers in open beta release, and includes a combination of real-time monitoring and analysis, facilities and space management capabilities and advanced dynamic dashboards.
IBM’s advanced software launch also includes analytics and monitoring products for the transportation and healthcare industries.
