Starting with a master (OS + business applications), IT administrators can then deploy hundreds of Windows or Linux virtual PCs within only minutes, against several hours for a standard workstation, and start them running right away. They can choose between Read Only virtual PCs (non-persistent) or Personal virtual PCs (persistent). Users may then connect from any workstation, whether inside or even outside the company, and access their customised environment (desktop, favourites, files, etc.).
In addition, administrators may set up array management ahead of time (new arrivals, new applications, training rooms), as well as system-wide changes (patches, software upgrades). They may perform tests on a group of users prior to implementing a system-wide change, bearing in mind that instant backtracking is possible in the event of a problem. Administrators can regain full control of all workstations, and they master their behaviour at all times.
