The VideoAppliance company, today announced that Canon U.S.A., Inc. has achieved Intransa VideoAppliance SELECT Partner Certification, and is now available with Intransa VideoAppliance platforms.

We’re pleased to provide customers with more options and to announce that the Canon Video Management System is now available with Intransa VideoAppliance,” said George Vaiser, vice president, video system applications, Intransa.

“With Canon VK-16 and VK-64 SELECT Partner Certified, our mutual customers will now be assured that they will receive risk-free, highly integrated and dependable surveillance systems. Canon’s surveillance cameras are proven and were already certified with Intransa VideoAppliance, so this partner certification is one more step benefiting our customers.”

The Canon Video Management System (Canon VMS) is a user-friendly enterprise IP video security solution that provides seamless management of digital video, audio, and data across any IP network. It is designed to work with Canon CCTV products as part of a total video security management system.

Existing components can be integrated into one easy-to-manage system, or Canon’s full-line capabilities can be used to provide a complete security solution based on the latest cutting-edge technology.

Widely deployed by customers in physical security, industrial video and related markets since its introduction in mid-2009, Intransa’s VideoAppliance was recently recognized as the Best in Video Storage and Distribution by the Security Industry Association at ISC West 2010, which is the latest in a string of similar awards.

Each Intransa installer-ready appliance shrinks the complexity and cost of integrating commodity servers, storage and other hardware for demanding physical security needs.

While eliminating two, three, four or more commodity server and storage systems with a single, physical security optimized device, Intransa’s VideoAppliance includes integration with the customer’s choice of software, including Canon products.
