ATS Corp. will provide software solutions to the National Cancer Institute under a new five-year contract valued at $13.3 million.

The contract calls for ATSC to continue providing software development services for the NCI Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology in support of its grants management systems.

“This contract is especially significant because it represents our company’s first major award under the Alliant governmentwide acquisition vehicle and positions us well for future increased activity under this vehicle,” said ATSC Chairman and CEO Edward Bersoff.

ATSC, of McLean, Va., has provided software development services for nearly a decade in support of the National Cancer Institute’s administrative systems and grants process, which funds significant cancer research initiatives, he added.

The National Cancer Institute is part of the National Institutes of Health, which is one of the 11 agencies of the Health and Human Services Department.
