Post launch of the iPhone 4 on June 24, users reported drastically reduced signal strength when they held the touch-screen phone a certain way. Which was later told “iPhone 4 death grip”.
The iPhone 4 drops more calls than the older iPhone 3GS.
The complains piled up later on. In response, Apple held 90-minute press conference recently on Friday. Apple CEO Steve Jobs said during a news conference Friday “less than one additional dropped call per 100 in iPhone4.”
In resolutions; you got multiple solutions by Apple:
In recent offers, everyone who buys an iPhone 4 will get a free case. If you already bought one from Apple for $29, you’ll get a refund. The offer is good on all iPhone 4s bought through Sept. 30.
If you’re still not happy, you can bring your iPhone 4 back, get a full refund, and apparently get released from your AT&T contract.
Or Apple has just released a software update to the iOS software which will show signal strength more accurately. Simply, upgrade your iOS.
It is expected to fix antenna/RF reception issue in future iOS update.
