Japanese airline Amakusa has implemented iFly Res, the passenger reservation system of the Technopark-based IBS Software Services.

With this, the airline would be using iFly Res for its integrated reservations, ticketing and departure control operations. The successful cut over, including the Internet and Mobile Booking Engine, was achieved within a record period of four months, said a statement from IBS.

Unlike other airline passenger reservation solutions, iFly Res affords total integration of airline reservation with complementary passenger services solutions like holiday and tour management, CRM and inventory control.

Amakusa is a regional airline in Japan and connects the Amakusa island to the nearby major cities Fukuoka, Kumamoto and Kobe.

“The new generation solutions of IBS help airlines break away from legacy systems, and cut their cost of operations, enhance efficiency and improve revenue. Amakusa’s confidence in entrusting us to handle their mission critical operation like passenger reservation is a true endorsement of the compelling value propositions that IBS offers,’’ IBS Chairman and CEO V.K. Mathews said in the statement.
